In the Studio

Located in the Prenzlaurberg district of Berlin, Germany the new Things to Come recording studio is producing tomorrow's music. Designed by Stefan Bruggemann it is visually stunning room. A large window lets in the light so you can see the custom designed diffusors, bass traps and cieling cloud. Vintage modular synthesizers bleep and drone into modern computers, sequencer's and software plug-ins. Head over to the studio page to see photos from inside the room and download free soundsets. Here's what's happening in the studio at this very moment:

Nothing could be further from the cold, pounding productions of the Horrorist, hitting the stage tonight with Nitzer Ebb at Kinetik, a three-day festival of electro, industrial, noise and hardcore techno. Since his last visit to Montreal, Chesler has been scoring hits in Europe, and playing to packed houses as far afield as the former Soviet Union, a level of success made possible by his relocation from Manhattan (and $2,000 rent for a two-room flat) to Prenzlauerberg (aka Pankow) in what used to be East Berlin.
